BIMBOS AND THE GENTLEMAN'S SACK

Some references are, shall we say, culturally specific. Others are simply ill-advised; I remember being sent a brief for a picture of someone touching his toes, with the copy-line "I'm so stiff in the mornings". The ad agency I was working for was pitching for an account to advertise rheumatism medicine...

As you can see, these Bimbos are Spanish, and if the box is to be believed they are extremely tasty. The empty box had been swilling about in the studio for some time, because I'd been meaning to put up a picture and never got around to it. Then, at Noz, the Great French source for end-of-lines and the like, I found the Gentleman's Sack (Le sac de Monsieur) In all fairness it does say "Le sac de Madame" on the other side.

It had been a good week for such things. A few days before, I'd found a box of Lolitas in Lidl; and they had just two boxes left. But I am not a great lollipop eater at the best of times, so I managed to resist the temptation of licking a Lolita.

Even so, I did try a Bimbo. In fact I had several, though to the best of my recollection it was all several years ago. Those who quite like that sort of thing will find that they are the sort of thing they quite like.

All in all, though, I was reminded of the teacher who was asked by one of his female students for an example of a double entendre. He gave her one.
